This dashboard tracks the total amount spent by same-day and overnight visitors to Alberta and Canada on goods and services related to their trip.
This helps us understand which tourism markets are most likely to spend a higher total amount at Alberta businesses and generate more value.
Statistics Canada determines spending from people traveling within the province, from the rest of Canada, and international countries through their Visitor Travel Survey and National Travel Survey. Reporting is annual for two years prior; we expect 2020 numbers in spring 2022.
